Professional Insight from the Class
As both a licensed therapist and a veteran police officer, I have seen firsthand the devastating toll that out-of-control adolescent behavior takes on families and communities alike. In the clinic, I have watched parents drown in the chronic stress of destructive power struggles; on the streets, I saw those same struggles escalate into truancy, substance abuse, and dangerous gang involvement that funnels youth directly into the justice system.
The Parent Project is an effective bridge between these two worlds, which I have witnessed function in the real world. Teaching parents the concrete therapeutic tools to stop arguing and de-escalate tension, helps heal the fractured emotional bonds at home. Simultaneously, it acts as a critical law enforcement intervention, empowering families with behavioral strategies that disrupt delinquent patterns before handcuffs ever have to be involved. This program does not just offer temporary fixes, it provides a life-saving blueprint that restores safety to our neighborhoods and brings peace back to broken households.
