Changing Destructive Adolescent Behavior Program

Before the Program

In 2023, when my daughter was 16 years old, our family found ourselves in one of the most painful and overwhelming seasons of our lives. She had become deeply rebellious and was engaging in behaviors that frightened me as a parent. She was smoking marijuana daily, sneaking out of the house, and expressing intense anger, disrespect, and hostility toward me.

I felt completely exhausted, heartbroken, and unsure of how to help her or protect our family. I truly felt at my wits’ end. That was when I found The Parent Project.

Finding Support

From the very beginning, this program felt different from anything else I had tried. Being part of a class with other parents who were walking through similar struggles immediately helped me feel less isolated and less ashamed. For the first time in a long time, I felt understood.

What made The Parent Project especially impactful was that it offered real, practical tools — not just theory or judgment. The program provided clear direction on how to respond to extremely complicated and emotional situations, while still maintaining boundaries, accountability, and love.

The Turning Point

I learned how to change my responses, how to stop unintentionally enabling harmful behavior, and how to parent from a place of strength rather than fear.

The process was not easy. There were moments when applying what I learned felt uncomfortable and emotionally challenging. However, with consistency, support from the class, and guidance from the program, things slowly began to change.

Where We Are Today

Over time, my daughter’s behavior improved, communication became healthier, and trust started to rebuild. Today, our relationship looks completely different than it did back then. We have come an incredibly long way, and I truly believe that without The Parent Project, our outcome could have been very different.

This program did not just help my child — it changed me as a parent and helped restore hope, stability, and healing in our family.

A Message to Other Parents

I am deeply grateful for The Parent Project and the impact it has had on our lives. I would wholeheartedly recommend this program to any parent who feels lost, overwhelmed, or afraid for their child’s future.

You are not alone, and real change is possible.
